
Sofia Pernas is a Moroccan-born actress whose family was based in Fes. She travelled throughout the world prior to settling at Los Angeles. While her initial focus was to reporting, Pernas' life took an unexpected turn when she received an invitation from a modeling Scout and later by an acting agent who set her career into motion. It is believed that the Moroccan mother of Sofia Pernas, as well as the Galician dad have the responsibility for her distinct look. Sofia Pernas, born 1989 in Los Angeles, is a Moroccan as well as a Spanish actor. She's the lead in The Brave. She moved to the US when she was five years old, and was raised in Orange County. She is multilingual, as she has a Moroccan mother as well as a her Spanish father. To be able to communicate in the four languages she has learned Arabic, English Spanish, and German. The initial intention was to work in journalism and was later scouted and redirected towards a modeling career. She was a part of Marisa in the NBC series The Young and the Restless and also in the CW television show Jane the Virgin, with Gina Rodriguez and Justin Baldoni. She plays the character Hannah Rivera, a member of the Defense Intelligence Agency, in the NBC series The Brave.
