Jenna Fischer was best known for portraying Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) on TV. The role she played earned her an Emmy nod for the Best Supporting Actress category. In addition, she was awarded two SAG Awards, both for exceptional performances in an ensemble cast in a comedy.
Anne, her mother, was a performer in church theater while she was a kid and instilled a passion for theater and performances in Jenna. Jenna spent her childhood watching her mother Anne who was a church performer. This instilled in her a love for theatre.
Fischer is an actress with the theater background. She was a part of the Off-Broadway production Reasons to Be Happy, written and directed by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, and Fred Weller. After starring in Steve Martin's latest show Meteor Shower (an absurdist comedy co-written by Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg), she performed in the Old Globe Theatre's record-breaking world premiere.
In the month of October, Fischer and The Office actor and friend Angela Kinsey launched a podcast called Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform. The podcast has since gained immense popularity, settling on the Top Ten globally every week and registering more than 200 million downloads over its first two years. Office Ladies received the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in the month of January in 2021.
She has written two books: The Actor's Life, a Survival Guide in which she describes her experience in Hollywood as a working actor as well as Office BFF's, Tales of The Office From Two Great Friends who Were There, an account of the most memorable friendships they enjoyed and their time on The Office.
