I spent months working 12 hours sanding floors, and tearing down wallpaper with the baby on my back, and others climbing inside the playpen. Ha! We were getting close to completing, however it was still a long way off. The project would require lots of time and money as well as my favourite brands of furniture to furnish this home. To stay the cost within my means I took my sons along with me as I searched for treasures in estate sales. The schedule we had for the week which consisted of spending the week from the week of Thursday to Saturday scouring sale houses and garages, purchasing new and old objects. I spent the rest of the week sanding and painting the driveway. The look was a little similar to the following... This is where my love for in the process of restoring old furniture got started. After our home was fully furnished, I still couldn't quit! There was an area on the market where I sold objects. My collection eventually grew to the point that the space I had available was no longer adequate. I held open houses in my home where one 000 visitors would pass through over a weekend, and they could purchase anything on the first floor. Growing Days was founded in my house. My business was booming and my family was also expanding. It was essential to find the right balance for me. I wished to balance being a mother as well as a business owner who was successful. Growing Days seemed like the best combination. Nora my fourth child was born in 2013. It was a great direction for my business, however I was also in need of some time off. I decided to put off working on my antique furniture for a few months and stay home with the kids. The time was right. Within a couple of months, my phone started to start to. Numerous people reached me seeking advice about home improvement or decorating. These were mostly customers who visited my residence to buy furniture. In the following months, I began to take on new clients at my own speed. In the end, I had many customers and was operating as a home improvement business. If you'd predicted that this venture of mine could become an idea for a TV show on DIY Network I probably would have laughed. Indeed, I am laughing at times when I think of the episode.
