April Lockhart
April Lockhart is a born July 4th, 1995. When she was in the 7th grade, she started taking guitar lessons and piano lessons. It was this that ignited her love for songwriting. April Lockhart wrote her first song"Different" at 12 years old. At 14 April, she spent a lot of time writing and honed her music ability. After a while, she began to travel with her dad as well as write her songs either in NY or LA. April also began to include different topics related to some of her classmates who struggle with issues such as bullying by peers and teens who commit suicide through the songs"Take" my Hand. Lockhart is a popular figure and is a lifestyle blogger with the well-known Ilia the Clean Beauty brand. Her birth was without a left hand. It's part of who she is--but that's not the entire story. Lockhart's Twitter profile does not ignore her status as disabled and does not concentrate on the fact that she is disabled. The point? The message? That we have many different aspects, that our physical and identity self aren't as appear. Lockhart says in a video interview with Lockhart via video "I am not convinced that my physical appearance will define my character. It's not my intention to be an influencer on disabilities because I've got so much more to offer." And it doesn't affect my day-to-day life I do things normally, and I've discovered the best way for me to adapt things. It's also part of me, so I believe it's essential to discuss. Lockhart is a huge example to other women in the area of acceptance of oneself. She still admits having gone through phases in her life regarding her appearance, feeling insecure at times to wear clothing that displayed her arms. Today, she wears anything she wants. And she posts her pictures to social networks. Self-love she said is like a journey. "I don't think you'll be in that place," she said. This is, however, typical for people who has insecurities. I think it's important to surround yourself with people who are able to identify and feel your heart.
