Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej Now Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born 12 November 1961. She was the first Romanian to receive a score of 10 at the Olympic event. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics coach who later became her coach later on she discovered her when she was six. At first, she competed in the junior national championships of Romania in 1969 she placed 13th. In 1970, she was crowned champion. In her first international competition in 1972, a pre-Olympic junior meet for the communist-bloc countries she was awarded three gold medals. In 1973 and 1974 she was all-around junior champion. In 1975 she was awarded four golds and one silver medal in her debut senior competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European champion. She was the first woman to complete a reverse double salo on the uneven parallel bar when she won the American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The story of Carol Wayne to the world of entertainment started in her teens. Along with her sister Nina Wayne, she joined traveling entertainment shows that were known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 Chicago Illinois US. Carol's professional career started in the entertainment industry during her teenage year. At the age of a girl, she began performing as the figure skater alongside Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. Ice Capades showcased performances of skating on ice by actors.
